The registration number plates are warranted to provide an image of sufficient quality to allow the identification functionality to be clearly readable when viewed under general daylight conditions. FITTING GUIDE

Due to the many mounting variations offered by modern car manufacturers, these plates have been produced without mounting holes. This allows you to position the holes to suit your vehicle.

All required holes must be slow drilled from the back of the plate starting with a smaller size drill bit to create a pilot hole, approximately half the size of the finished hole and then a larger drill bit to create the required hole size. The finished hole size might be slightly larger than the screw to allow for thermal expansion. Ensure the drill bits are sharp and do not apply excessive pressure. Use a pedestal drill and ensure good support is provided to the plate while drilling. The use of double sided tape to attach the plates is not recommended and will void the warranty of your plates and damage the paint on your vehicle.

The drilling of holes and affixing of screw or bolts must not alter the appearance of the number plate in such a way that affects the identification of the registration number.

Removal of the white film applied to the back of the plate will void the manufacturer’s warranty. For assistance with fitment you may need to contact your motor dealer or suitable qualified person.

FITTING GUIDE

Your Prestige plate assembly consists of a mounting bracket and a Prestige Personalised plate. A different type of mounting bracket may be required if there is a substantial curve or restrictive recess in the vehicles design.

Attaching your prestige plate to the vehicle with the mounting bracket, offers advantages over aluminium plates by allowing vertical adjustment of its position to maximise air intake flow/aerodynamics and aesthetics, these factors should be considered when positioning your plate on the vehicle.

Instructions
  1. Separate the mounting bracket from your prestige plate by loosening the three grub screws (located on the bottom edge of the mounting bracket) with the hex key (Allen key) provided.
  2. Hold the mounting bracket in its desired position on the vehicle and carefully mark the mounting bracket with the correct vertical position and spacing for the two or more existing holes. The spacing of the holes can be measured with a ruler or tape, and transferred to the mounting bracket.Drill the mounting bracket with holes large enough to take the screws for the manufacturers tapped holes.
  3. Drill the mounting bracket with holes large enough to take the screws for the manufacturers tapped holes.
  4. Screw the mounting bracket to the vehicle.
  5. Clip the top of your prestige plate into the top of the mounting bracket and re-tighten the grub screws to firmly hold the assembly together.
